The KLX351 engine makes abundant torque at low RPM, and the
big boost in torque means this engine is very easy to ride. The flat torque curve means you have good power from early on to over 7500 rpm. Peak horsepower is much better than the 250 engine. Peak HP is reached at a lower RPM point, meaning less high strung engine performance. There's quicker power from idle through the peak. The larger bore allows the KLX engine to gain revs much quicker, equaling much better acceleration.

Pumper Carb bored to 34mm
B and B Cycle Restoration offers a direct replacement Mikuni TM33 Carburetor that has been over bored to 34mm. The flat slide, pumper-style Mikuni carburetor uses the stock throttle cable, and is fitted with an easy to adjust "T" handle air/fuel screw for fine tuning.
Replacing the stock, slow-to-react CV carb with the B and B Cycle Restoration over bored TM33 brings a performance increase, and much crisper throttle response. The instant the throttle opens, the engine reacts with power. For those times you need quick throttle response, the TM33 will deliver every time.
